J.G. Ballard
I'd been working on
Empire of the Sun for a few weeks in spare moments (doctor's office, train, etc) and ended up liking it a lot more than some of the other stuff I've read by him. (I especially disliked
Rushing to Paradise) It's an autobiographical story of his time in an internment camp in China during WWII. I don't know if I want to see the movie or not now.
