My only problem with
Sailing to Sarantium by Guy Gavriel Kay, which I finished last night, is that it is not a novel that stands by itself. It's definitely part one of two so I had to immediately start the second half,
Lord of Emperors. It's a fantasy novel that doesn't bring to mind any thoughts of Tolkien (at least in my mind).
