Kristin's Book Log

Wednesday, March 03, 2004
So instead of going to bed early last night, I accidently stayed up and read all of Stephen King's On Writing in one sitting. At one point in my life I read all of his published works to-date. I've lapsed in the last few years (especially after hating Gerald's Game and finding several others only mediocre), though I still think a few of his books are excellent (The Stand and the Dark Tower series especially) and whether or not you like his subject matter you have to admit he's a hell of a story-teller. This book is part memoir, part writing instruction and unlike most of his novels isn't huge. Not a bad read at all, but not really any writing advice I hadn't heard before.
